Village Povljana
Povljana is a quiet seaside village on southern Pag Island, known for its sandy, shallow beaches (great for kids), calm vibe, and sunset strolls along the bays. It’s a laid-back base with cafés, small markets, and nearby nature spots like the Velo & Malo Blato lakes.
Velo & Malo Blato Ornithological Reserve
Just outside Povljana you’ll find Veliko & Malo Blato, protected wetlands famous for birdlife (over marsh and migratory species). There’s an elevated bird hide and signed access; it’s open terrain with very little shade, so visit early/late for the best light and sightings. Tickets/info are handled locally via the Povljana tourist board.
Breeze of past times
Dramatic karst scenery at the island’s entrance; quick stop for panoramic shots. One of the most striking scenes on the island of Pag is surely the Pag bridge surrounded with dark blue sea providing excellent contrast for unique experience and images.
